Easy Clafoutis Recipes

Don’t worry; it’s quite easy so you’ll be able to do it even if your baking or cooking skills are zero. All you need is 40 minutes to make it. In other words, the fun is in all the preparation and the tasting. So start by bringing your little family to buy the ingredients. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to do this because they are all cheap products.

You will need 120g of white sugar, 120g of flour, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, 5 tablespoons of milk (about 7.5cl), 500g of cherries, 4 eggs, and 20cl of liquid cream. Preheat your oven to 210° for 12 to 15 minutes for good organization. This is the time you will need for the preparation. To begin, put the cherries in a dish or a buttered mold. You can take a bottle and put the cherry on the neck to pit them. Then press it with a chopstick until the pit comes out and falls to the bottom of the bottle. Depending on your preference, you can put them as they are or remove the pits.

To Prepare the Batter:

Mix the eggs and sugar in a bowl and whisk for a while.

Pour in 30 g of melted butter and continue stirring.

Add the liquid cream, milk, and vanilla sugar. You can also use almond milk or soy milk if you like.

Only add the flour last, and make sure to mix it all in with your whisk.

Check if there are still lumps and insist on it to make the mixture well homogeneous.

Sprinkle your mold with a knob of butter, then pour it all into the mold.

The preparation is thus finished. Put it in the oven to cook for 30 mins at 220 °. Once cooked, take your clafoutis out of the oven and let it cool down.

Time To Taste It

Once everyone is ready to play the role of pastry chef, it’s time to sit down. You can serve it with natural sweet wine or ice cream. There are no rules, no limits; it’s all about taste so enjoy your share of clafoutis as you wish.
